Construction - Breathe Easy Contracting LLC uses southern yellow pine and douglas fir in all its framing for dimensional lumber. Engineered lumber is used to specifications as per the drawings of the architect. In the case where columns are needed, styles and decorative options are provided to the homeowner at the contract signing for review and pricing. All sheathing is with galvanized ring nails and CDX plywood. The subfloor is always true plywood, tongue and groove that is adhered to the floor with glue and then screwed down. Chipboard is not used as a substitute.
Roofing - Our roofing is done with Timberline 30 year shadow-accent shingles by GAF. It is installed to manufacturer's warranty standards with an ice and water shield at the edges of the roof and in the valleys as well. Drip edge is installed around the perimeter of the roof. A ridge vent is included standard with our pricing.
Windows - All new windows are to be SuperSeal 1700 series with Low-e glass to specification. Other manufacturers are available as options. Double hung windows are always tilt wash and grilles are always between the panes for ease of cleaning.
Siding - Siding is to be a double 4 inch lap in either straight or Dutch styles. The gauge is to be .043 or better. The colors and styles are chosen by the homeowner. Soffits and aluminum coil wrap around and all exposed wood fascia are included in our pricing. Our coil is coated in PVC for longer life, especially in ocean air areas.
